First batch of 11 stranded people has arrived Kiphire on 19th May 2020. The returnees were from Shillong, Mariani, Guwahati, Nagaon, Itanagar and Pfutsero respectively. Among the 11 returnees two females and nine males.

The Deputy Commissioner, Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS under Section 35 (e), 36 (c) and 39 (d) & (h) of the Disaster Management Act 2005 has notified and declare the following Hotels under Kohima Municipal Area listed below to be utilised as paid Quarantine Centres: Hotel Vivor, Kohima; Hotel De-Oriental Grand Kohima; Hotel Eastgate Kohima; Hotel Lavisto Kohima; Hotel Millennium Kohima, Hotel Grandeur Kohima and Hotel Holiday Oki Kohima.

According to the laboratory finding reports in regard to the suspected outbreak of Anthrax from the office of the Chief Veterinary Officer, Longleng the report has proven the earlier suspicion of the outbreak of Anthrax disease is negative.

Donation is the only way of obtaining blood. In the presence of medical and technological advances it is wrongly thought that blood can currently be made but the only source is through blood donation. In developed countries donors are volunteers who donate for their community and whereas in developing countries many people often donate only when their family and friends need it. The prospective donors are being checked that there blood is safe for use.
