Since it has become imperative for the district to setup additional quarantine centre to accommodate the stranded people coming from other state the RUSA Boy's hostel, Yingli College, Longleng has been requisitioned as quarantine centre by the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng M. Shayung Phom according to the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID-19) Regulation 2020 under the Epidemic Disease Act of 1897.

The report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential goods and services in the State on COVID-19 lock down as on 15th May has been issued by the Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Home Department, Hiazu Meru.

As at 4 P.M. today, a total of ­­910 samples have been sent for testing from the State. The results of 889 samples have been received and all have been tested as negative. The results for the remaining 21 samples are awaited.

In view of the arrival of the stranded students/persons from outside the state and to ensure smooth management of the returnee and to assess the preparedness of the receiving team, a trail run was held at GHSS quarantine center, Wokha on 15th May 2020.

District Administration of Tening organised training on COVID-19 for volunteers of Tening Town and Tening Village will be held on 17th May 2020 at Government High School Auditorium hall Tening.
