On 27th May 2020, at 4:45 AM, five buses carrying 151 persons (returnees from Chennai) from Kohima reached Sao Chang College Quarantine Centre, Tuensang, and were admitted after necessary procedures were followed. Their samples for COVID-19 testing were taken at Kohima before being sent to Tuensang and results were awaited. At 7:00 AM, report of a person being tested positive for COVID-19 was received from the State Nodal Officer, IDSP, Kohima.

State Emergency Operation Centre COVID-19 Control room, Home Department has issued the report on Law & Order across the state as on 26th May, 2020. Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland Hiazu Meru stated that, while remedial steps taken against violations 109 Vehicles were challaned under MV Act and imposed fines =Rs, 15.400. (Fifteen Thousand Four Hundred).
KOHIMA AO BAPTIST CHURCH CONTRIBUTES RS 11 LACS TO QUARANTINE CENTRES
The Kohima Ao Baptist Church has appreciate the initiative taken by the state Government and the district administration in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Many stranded Nagas are returning back home and the Government have taken adequate measures to keep the returnees safe at the respective quarantine centers, a press release by the Church stated.
