On 27th May 2020, at 4:45 AM, five buses carrying 151 persons (returnees from Chennai) from Kohima reached Sao Chang College Quarantine Centre, Tuensang, and were admitted after necessary procedures were followed. Their samples for COVID-19 testing were taken at Kohima before being sent to Tuensang and results were awaited. At 7:00 AM, report of a person being tested positive for COVID-19 was received from the State Nodal Officer, IDSP, Kohima.

The Kohima Ao Baptist Church has appreciate the initiative taken by the state Government and the district administration in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
