Ever since the World Health Organisation declared the Corona Virus (Covid 19) as a pandemic the whole world has been engulfed in a daily struggle for survival against an invisible yet deadly enemy. As the virus spread across the nations of the world, it slowly made its way to our tiny yet beautiful and picturesque  State of Nagaland, the state which all of us call our home and it has affected our lives in more ways than one.

The full text of the statement on COVID-19 as given by the Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha IAS is as follows:

            “Good evening,

Government of Nagaland, Home Department has highlighted a report on COVID-19 lock down on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & services over the state. The Principal Secretary for Home Department Abhijit Sinha IAS in a report given yesterday i.e 16th April 2020 stated that seven persons had violated lock down and were bound down as the same for remedial steps.

The University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has issued a notification for required to attend the office regularly w.e.f. 20th April, 2020.

“Offices of the Government of India, its Autonomous/ Subordinates Offices will remain open, as mentioned below:-

The attention of Finance Department has been drawn to news being circulated in the social media of the amount of Rs. 32641.66 lakhs released by the Ministry of Finance of the Government of India on 3rd March 2020, and comments about how funds are being used to battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
