Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Home Commissioner and Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland issued the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services in the State for the 19thApril 2020. According to the report, no violation of the lockdown was reported in any part of the State.
DC DIMAPUR INFORMS FARMERS
The Dimapur District Administration has informed all concerned that farmers and other persons involved in agriculture and allied activities were exempted from the lockdown. Therefore, movement of persons involved in agriculture and allied activities should not be obstructed/hindered in the colonies as instances of violation are liable to be penalized under section 188 of the IPC.
CONTROL CENTER AT NAGALAND HOUSE DELHI EXTENDS ASSISTANCE
After the Janta Curfew on 22nd March, 2020 and report of stranded 10 passengers from Nagaland was received, a meeting was held in the office chamber of the Dy. Resident Commissioner, Nagaland House, New Delhi on 23rd March, 2020.
EX GRATIA GRANT FOR FATALITIES TO FRONTLINE WORKERS DUE TO COVID-19
The Home Department (Relief & Rehabilitation Branch) has notified that any employee of the Nagaland State Government including any personnel of Nagaland Police and the Urban Local Bodies in the State, who suffers fatality due to COVID-19 while performing frontline duties, will be paid an ex-gratia amount of Rs. 10.00 (ten) lakhs by the State Government.
GOVERNMENT ISSUES CONSOLIDATED REVISED GUIDELINES
The State Government has issued directions to all Departments that the lockdown measures will continue to remain in force up to 03.05.2020 to contain the spread of COVID-I9 in the State.
