Deputy Commissioner Kohima Kumar Ramnikant IAS has issued an advisory stating that owing to landslides which has affected a portion of the NH-29 on the intervening night of 03rd and 04th September, 2024 resulting in blockage of the NH-29 from Kohima to Dimapur and to ensure continued supply of essential commodities and fuel, the following alternate route has been identified for plying of heavy vehicles carrying essential commodities and fuel for Kohima District:

In view of Kohima-Dimapur NH-29 blocked due to landslides, alternate route from Niuland to Kohima via. Ghotovi - Zhadima is open to vehicular movement for small and light passenger vehicles.
