In order to facilitate the citizens to buy essential commodities, the Deputy Commissioner Kohima has informed the general public that the exempted shops which include Grocery, Bakery and Pharmacy will be opened tomorrow the 16th April 2020 from 7:00 A.M to 12:00 Noon.
With the powers conferred by the Nagaland Epidemic Disease (COVID- 19) Regulations, 2020; it is a punishable offence to reveal the identity of the COVID-19 affected person(s).
It has been observed that various confidential data related to COVID-19 have been leaked to social media by unscrupulous persons. Therefore, such offenders will henceforth, be taken action against without any warning.
In the wake of fake news and information in social media causing panic and misinformation amongst the public, DC Dimapur Anoop Khinchi has issued an order that anyone involved in creating or spreading false information through any means will be penalized under Section 54 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, IT Act 2008 and Section 188 of the IPC.

As decided during the meeting of Peren District Task force on COVID-19 held on 14th April, 2020 at GA Rest House, Jalukie and as per the request put forth jointly by the Jalukie Valley Village Council, Ward Chairman’s Union, Jalukie Town, Jalukie Town Youth Organization, Traders Union, Jalukie Town and Auto Union, the timing for opening of shops selling essential commodities within Jalukie Town has been rescheduled and fixed from 08:00 a.m.
