The full text of the statement on the status of COVID-19 in Nagaland as on 10th April 2020 given by the Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha IAS is as follows:
ADC NOKLAK INFORMS ON DISTRIBUTION OF RICE
ADC, Noklak has stated that 300 quintals of rice is released for Noklak block as part of relief measures for COVID-19.
ADC mentioned that, the following instructions may be followed:
DC MON INFORMS ON VEHICULAR BLOCKADE & WATER SUPPLY
In the general interest of public, Deputy Commissioner Monhas informed that no vehicular blockade can be erected on National/State Highways inside Mon District.This is essential to facilitate uninterrupted flow of essential commodities and services.The sealing of borders of the district is exempt from the purview of this order.
DC MON INFORMS ON PHH & AAY RICE
Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS, informed that 2(two) months Priority House Holds (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) rice for the months of May and June is being given by the Government in advance. In addition to this, 5 Kg of free rice for each person in the household of PHH and AAY ration card holders will be given under Pradhan Mantra Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY) every month for 3 months (April,May,June).
DC MON NOTIFIES ON MANDATORY REPORT BY PERSONS ENTERING MON
Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K IAS has notified that in view of COVID-19 Pandemic crisis and to contain the outbreak of the infection in the District, any person who has entered the Colony/Ward/Village after 6th March 2020 till date has to be mandatorily reported to the District Helpline Nos. 9862014033/9862078993/7005687775. Further, all Colony/Ward/Village authorities have been directed to check, authenticate and report any such person to the Helpline Nos.
REPORT ON COVID-19 LOCKDOWN
According to the report on Law & Order and facilitation of essential Goods & Services for 9th of April 2020, 3 violations of the lockdown were reported in the State. Abhijit Sinha, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, while issuing the report stated that 3 people have been bound down. No law and order incidents have been reported.
